USS San Francisco Ceremony 2010



(05-30-2010; 12:00 PDT) SAN FRANCISCO [Land's End] -- Annual memorial dedicated to the 100 Sailors and seven Marines killed in action during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, 12/13 November 1942.

Color Guards video includes Master of Ceremony, Color Guards, Pledge of Allegiance and Star Spangled Banner. A very noteworthy detail is that Shipmate Eugene Tarrant was on all 17 battles of the USS San Francisco (CA-38), and leads the Pledge of Allegiance.




(05-30-2010; 12:20 PDT) SAN FRANCISCO [Land's End] -- Honoring RADM Daniel J. Callaghan, USN, 28 July 1890 - 13 November 1942. Descendants were in attendance. The Naval Battle of Guadalcanal was a major blow to the Japanese occupation. Watch the video and click the links for more details about this significant historical occasion.

Sunday Streets, Bayview



(05-23-2010; 10:13 PDT) SAN FRANCISCO [Bayview Hunters Point] -- Sunday Streets (AT&T Park to 3rd/Carroll) and Bayview Music and Street Festival, featuring Puro Bandido. This was perhaps the first Sunday Streets with organized music that unfortunately had meager bicyclist participation.

Stockton Asparagus Festival
